This page is a working draft written to cover the standard points a payment gateway (including Razorpay) checks for during onboarding. Please have it reviewed before going live — it is not a substitute for legal advice.

Vishwam Pandya Enterprises ("VPE Seeds", "we", "us", "our") operates this website (the "Site") to help farmers and dealers browse and order agricultural seed products. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

When you create an account, browse, or place an order, we may collect:

Account details: name, mobile number, email address, and account type (Farmer, Dealer, Personal, Vendor, Other).
Order details: products ordered, quantities, delivery/pickup preference, delivery address, and order notes.
Farm records (optional): if you use the My Farm dashboard, the field names, land area, soil type, location, crops, sowing dates, and quantities you choose to log.
Communications: messages you send us through the Contact page, and any reviews you post on a product.
Technical data: basic device/browser information and cookies necessary to keep you logged in and to remember your language preference (see our Cookie Policy).

We do not collect payment card numbers, UPI PINs, or banking credentials — these are entered directly with our payment partner and never pass through or are stored on our servers.

2. How we use your information

To create and manage your account, and to verify your identity via OTP at login/signup.
To process, fulfil, and communicate with you about your orders.
To operate features you choose to use, such as the wishlist, order history, and My Farm dashboard.
To respond to support requests and complaints raised via the Contact page.
To maintain the security of our Site and prevent fraud or misuse.
To meet legal, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

3. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only where necessary to operate the Site:

Payment processing: once online payments are enabled, payment details you enter are handled directly by our payment gateway partner, Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We receive only the payment status and a transaction reference.
OTP verification: your mobile number is shared with our SMS/OTP provider (MSG91) solely to deliver and verify one-time passwords.
Dealers: for pickup orders, we share the minimum order and contact details needed with the relevant dealer to fulfil your order.
Legal requirements: if required to comply with a law, court order, or government request.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers we control and is protected using industry-standard safeguards including password hashing (your password is never stored in plain text, and cannot be viewed even by our own staff) and access-controlled admin tooling. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your rights and choices

You can view and update your profile details from your account page at any time.
You can permanently delete your account, including your orders, cart, wishlist, and farm records, from the "Delete my account" section of your account page.
You can contact us at any time to ask what data we hold about you or to raise a privacy concern.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (to keep you logged in) and local browser storage (for your language preference and recently viewed products). See our Cookie Policy for details.

7. Children's privacy

This Site is intended for use by adults conducting agricultural business and is not directed at children under 18.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
